Grandparents Day

Happy Spring!

Grandparents Day will be celebrated this Friday at CCS. The children will be preforming at 10:00am.  There will be cookies and lemonade to follow.  Of course parents are welcome also.  We look forward to a great preformance!

Language Arts

We have started our unit in Happily Ever After,
The Nightingale, by Hans Christian Anderson.  We have ben reading many other Fairy Tales by  Hans Christian Anderson as well.
We are working on comprehension, following directions, comparing and contrasting and rhyming.
Additionally we are working on the positions first, next, last, left and right.  We are also learning to recognize the emotions happy, sad, angry and surprised.
Our letter this week is Yy .  Please continue to reinforce letter recognition with your child.

Math

We are working on dividing a group of items equally.
We continue to work on recognizing numbers 1-20 and sequencing numbers 1-10.  We are also working on writing our numbers 1-10.
Counting by tens to 100 is also a goal.
Ask your child to demonstrate their knowledge they are proud of their accomplishments!
We have added counting by fives to 100 and everyone is doing well!

Blessings,
Katie Hermann
